More about me and my work in Aiken!
I have had the privilege of being able to have several murals, sculptures, and painted famous Aiken horse statues all around our wonderful community! Below are photos of these projects, when I did them, and where they are!
South Aiken High School Painted Horse
When I was a senior at South Aiken, I was tasked with painting one of the “famous” Aiken horses for my school! I was given full creative control to create something that represented what South Aiken was about. One side of the horse represents education, and the other clubs. This was the first of three horses I painted. The horse is still at South Aiken High today!

South Aiken High School Football Field
It has been a tradition that I have come back every football season to paint the logo for the school’s football field! I played football for Coach Chris Hamilton all four years, so it’s nice to give back! This year will be my sixth year painting the logo! Every year, the dimensions remail the same. The thoroughbred logo is massive at 20 yards by 10 yards!

Flanigan’s Ice Cream Cone
This ice cream cone is the first sculpture I completed as a commission in 2020 for Flanigan’s Ice Cream in Downtown Aiken. This was a three-and-a-half-month project that took up a lot of time during the summer of the Covid-19 lockdown. This cone stands at about eight and a half feet and is still greeting guests daily!

Chukker Creek Elementary School Painted Horse
The second “famous” Aiken horse that I was able to paint was for Chukker Creek Elementary, also my old alma mater! I was asked to paint the horse in a similar way to the South Aiken High School horse in order to represent the meaning of the school. With this one, I was able to use my prior experience with the first horse to make something more colorful and fun!
This horse was purchased and painted to honor the retirement of Amy Gregory, who was the principal at the time.

Burnettown First Baptist Church Mural
At Burnettown First Baptist Church, I was commissioned to paint the children’s wing of the church to represent the splitting of the Red Sea in the Old Testament. I loved this project, because I was able to add so many fun sea creatures with some recognizable ones as well!

Kennedy Middle School Eagle Monument
This sculpture was the most difficult project of my entire art career. With over 9 months of work including design, sculpting, casting, molding, and then painting, this monument stands at over six and a half feet and currently sits at the entrance of Kennedy Middle School, my old alma mater.
This project was created in order to honor Jeff Harting, the vice principal at Kennedy Middle who tragically passed away in 2021. He was a wonderful person, who I had the pleasure of knowing while I attended the school. I wouldn’t have taken on this project if it wasn’t for him.

Painted Horse at a Private Residence
My most recent third horse was a unique project for a private residence. This statue was at this home for years and was in need of an upgrade! The themes of this one are patriotic and Texas A&M!
